Welcome to your SSL monitoring dashboard! This guide will help you understand all features and get the most out of your security monitoring tools.

Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard provides a centralized view of all your SSL monitoring activities. Here you can upload domain lists, view scan results, manage files, and track validation status.

📧Email Validation System

Important: Email validation is required to receive scan reports and access full dashboard features.

Validation Requirements:

  1. Domain Matching: Your email domain must match the domains you want to scan
    Example: To scan example.com, use user@example.com
  2. Click Validation Status: Click your validation status badge in the dashboard header to send a validation email
  3. Check Your Email: Look for the validation email in your inbox (check spam folder too)
  4. Click Validation Link: Click the link in the email to complete validation

Validation Status Indicators:

Validated
Your email is validated. You'll receive scan reports and have full access to dashboard features.
Not Validated
Click this status to send a validation email. You won't receive reports until validated.
Pending
Validation email sent but not yet confirmed. Check your email and click the validation link.

📁File Upload & Management

Uploading Domain Lists:

  1. Click Upload Button: Use the blue "Upload File" button in your dashboard
  2. Select .txt File: Choose a text file containing domain names (one per line)
  3. Add Description: Optionally add a comment to describe this file's purpose
  4. Submit Upload: Click "Upload File" to process your domain list
  5. Start using: Click the "View status" button at the far right of your file.
Pro Tip: Use descriptive comments like "Production servers Q1 2025" or "Customer domains - batch 1" to easily identify files later.

File Format Requirements:

Supported Formats
File Type: .txt files only
Content: One domain per line
Size Limit: Reasonable file sizes (up to several MB)
Encoding: UTF-8 text encoding preferred
Domain Format
Valid: example.com, sub.example.com
Invalid: https://example.com, http://...
Wildcards: Not supported in uploads

Dashboard Actions & Features

What it does: Automatically discovers and queries unique FQDNs for your domain, then validates if they're online or offline. If you have a large domain, this query may take a few minutes.

When to use: Great for comprehensive domain discovery and initial scanning of your infrastructure. Also tries to find old and maybe rogue servers.

Process: Queries DNS records, discovers subdomains, tests connectivity, and generates online/offline status reports.
What it does: Opens the upload modal to add new FQDN lists (an FQDN is for instance mail.example.com, login.example.com etc.) to your monitoring dashboard.

When to use: If you're sure you already know all of your servers, this is probably the quickest way to start. After your initial upload, you can always try the auto query to see if there are other FQDNs out there you may have forgotten about.

Pro Tip: There is also an easy, automatically consolidate button to have your files sorted and consolidated.
What it does: Automatically merges multiple uploaded files into a single, organized list, removing duplicates and sorting domains alphabetically.

When to use: After uploading multiple files or when you want to clean up your domain lists for easier management.

Result: Creates a new consolidated file with all unique domains from your uploaded files.
What it does: Permanently removes the file and it's associated data from your dashboard.

When to use: When you want to start fresh or clean up your dashboard completely.

Warning: This action cannot be undone. Make sure you have backups of important data before using this feature.
What it does: Reloads the dashboard with the latest data and updates all file statuses and scan results.

When to use: When you want to see the most current information or after making changes to your files.

Auto-refresh: The dashboard also automatically refreshes every few seconds to keep data current.
What it does: Filters the dashboard view to display only domains that are currently online and responding to connection attempts.

When to use: When you want to focus on active domains or need to quickly identify which servers are currently operational.

Filter toggle: Click again to show all domains (both online and offline) or use other filter options to customize your view.
